WE MAKE WONDERFUL SOAPS!

Wonderful, moisturising natural soaps that make you and your skin feel good! We make these soaps in rural Scotland with ingredients that are as natural and pure as we can get and are of the finest quality. Sometimes the herbs we use will be from our own garden. There are no synthetic ingredients in our soaps, all of which are handmade in small batches.

Recipes for our soaps have taken a long time to design and perfect, to ensure their quality and safety. We use Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil and organic sustainable Palm oil as our base and to this we add enriching and moisturising oils and butters such as Avocado Oil, Mango Butter, wild-grown Shea Butter, and golden Extra Virgin Rapeseed oil from Perthshire. We also add herbs, clays and spices for colouring and texture and essential oils for fragrance and for their amazing therapeutic properties.

None of our soaps contain animal fats or are tested on animals - other than the human variety! All are suitable for vegetarian use and most are suitable for vegans. (Did you know that many well-known commercial soaps use animal fats, listed as 'Sodium tallowate' on the label?)

We make our soaps using the traditional cold process method in The Washhouse - overlooking our herb garden - in small batches and on a regular basis.

Current European Cosmetic legislation requires that all recipes are certified as safe by an analytical chemist. Also, labels must show a full ingredient listing, the weight of the soap and sufficient information for the soap to be traced back to the company who made it. All our recipes and our labels comply with this legislation.

Buying our Soaps

We use Paypal to process our on-line payments. This does not mean that you have to be a Paypal member; anyone can make payments through Paypal using their usual credit and debit cards. If you wish to order by post rather than on-line, we are happy to accept cheques drawn on UK clearing banks.

Soaps are heavy and we regret that due to the high cost of carriage our shopping cart is only set up to deal with orders from the United Kingdom. If you live abroad and would like to order our soaps, please contact us first so we can tell you how much carriage will cost and how then to proceed with your order.

We do not keep a stock of wrapped soaps. Instead, we cut and wrap soaps on receipt of orders to ensure that the soaps you receive are as fresh as possible. We are therefore unable to offer a 24-hour turn round service, but we do aim to despatch orders within five working days of receipt.

Outlets

A wide range of our soaps is available for sale at The Courtyard, Peel Farm, Lintrathen, and at many shops throughout the UK. If your local shop doesn't stock our soaps, please suggest to them that they should!
