Patchouli Soaps
The patchouli plant is part of the mint family. A leafy bush, it grows to between two and three feet high in tropical Asian countries and since time immemorial its smoky, musky, mysterious fragrance has been used in incense and as a ceremonial fragrance. Traditionally it is said to induce relaxation, and it is also used in Chinese medicine for a number of ailments. It became particularly popular with the hippy generation of the late 1960s/early 70s, and today remains an important component in the modern perfume industry. Curiously, its scent has the unusual quality of improving with age.

Lime & PatchouliFresh and stimulating, this soap is ideal for that morning shower, or to take to the gym. Lime essential oil gives the soap a zingy, get-up-and-go fragrance, while Patchouli lingers, musky and enticing. The soap is also slightly exfoliating thanks to the addition of ground Rhooibos leaves, which also give the soap its deep brown colour. |
Lavender & Patchouli |
Patchouli Scrub with Aloe VeraGood Scottish Oatmeal gives this scrub its seriously exfoliating qualities, but there's still plenty of Olive Oil, Shea Butter, and our wonderful Scottish Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oil to sooth and moisturise, all helped by a splash of cool refreshing Aloe Vera. The fragrance, of course, is all Patchouli.
